Saat Khoon Maaf Priyanka Chopra
Saat Khoon Maaf Priyanka Chopra
The film is a well-blend of drama, thriller and black comedy and is based on the Ruskin Bond book, Susanna's Seven Husband. In Saat Khoon Maaf, Priyanka play the female lead 'Susanna' who has seven husbands. The film revolves around that one character and her 'quest for love'. Veteran Naseeruddin Shah, actor John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Irrfan Khan, Annu Kapoor, Vivaan Shah (Naseeruddin Shah's youngest son), Russian actor Aleksandr Dyachenko, play Priyanka's seven husband in the film.
The trailer in just 2 minutes 24 seconds, manages to impart the entire theme on which the film is based on. The trailer brilliantly leaves an impact on the viewers mind, with a feeling of longing to watch more of it. Priyanka is at her best in film with power pack-dialogue deliveries like, “duniya ki haar biwi ne kabhie na kabhie toh yeh zarur sochega, ki main apne pati se hamesha hamesha ke liye chutkara kaise paun, (every wife in the entire world must have once in her life time thought of how to get rid of her husband for ever).
The trailer ends with the dialogue by Priyanka saying, “this time I am going to drink in blood.” That particular dialogue proves that Priyanka is playing a negative character in the film. This is the third film where the actress will be showcasing her negative acting skills after Aitraaz (2004) and Yakeen (2005).
The film was about to release on 21 January, but reportedly it has been postponed to February 18, 2011.
