Sania To Quit Tennis
After loosing the women’s singles to the French seed Aravani Rezai, Sania Mirza will now be concentrating on mixed doubles title at the Australian Open.
Speaking on her defeat, Sania said, “She (Rezai) is obviously playing well, she was a seed and it is never easy to play a seed first round. But yeah, of course it is disappointing. But that’s the way it is. You just have to look ahead, I guess.”The tennis sensation also confirmed that she would quit tennis after marriage. It is worth a mention here that Sania was engaged to Sohrab Mirza in July last year.
While talking about her personal life, she said, “Well, it’s just my personal choice. I mean, I just think that after marriage your priorities change in a lot of different ways and if I had to keep playing tennis and travel 35 weeks a year, why get married? I’d like to live with my husband I think.”
